As Director of Network Operations, Shane helps lead everything from making sure our clinical teams have the right equipment, at the right price, right when they need it, to making sure that we're partnering with the best National partners who share our commitment to delivering Better Care By Design. As Director of Network Operations, I'm responsible for ensuring Muve has the right operational processes and infrastructure in place to deliver high quality care care and to obtain reimbursement efficiently. This primarily covers supply chain, revenue cycle, and operational analytics.
Why did you join Muve Health?
Throughout my professional healthcare life, I've always employed a patient-centered approach. At times, this can be a difficult connection to make when you are working in finance, accounting, or analytics for a large healthcare organization. But at Muve, this patient-centered approach is always a focus and the superior patient experience is felt everyday. It's rare to have an opportunity to truly create a positive change in any industry, especially healthcare , and at Muve I know I am part of a team doing just that.
What were you up to before joining Muve Health?
Immediately before Muve, I was working at Kaiser Permanente on their Risk Adjustment and Affordable Care Act team assisting with analytics, operations, and reporting. Prior to Kaiser, I was at Surgical Care Affiliates on the financial operations team assisting with finance, operations, and analytics.
Partnership. My role has me working with a large number of vendors throughout the industry. For some, these vendor relationships are contractual and managed like signatures and stats on paper, not partnerships between people. For me, I view every vendor as a partner and always strive to cultivate strong relationships. At the end of the day, besides being the right thing to do this provides greater value to all parties!
To be honest, the beginning of my healthcare career path was less intentional than others. However, I continue to work and enjoy healthcare because there is tremendous opportunity for improvement and it plays such an essential role in everyone's life.
