As a patient in the Muve program, you'll find that Muve Navigators like Hallie play a unique and invaluable role in your knee replacement or hip replacement care delivery experience. You'll meet your Navigator as soon as you enroll in the Muve program, and he or she will partner with you each step of the way throughout your joint replacement journey. Designed to support you as an advocate, guide, and "go-to" resource for any questions, concerns, or thoughts you have about your care and recovery experience, Navigators help define our innovative care program. Hallie, one of two Navigators at Muve Lakeway Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and Muve Lakeway Stay Suites, is a shining example of what we look for in a Muve Navigator: caring, inspiring, and highly skilled in her role as a guide and educator for her patients. What is your role as a Muve Navigator at Muve Lakeway ASC and Muve Lakeway Stay Suites?
As Nurse Navigators, we're here as a guide for each patient through their surgery, from pre-op up to one year out from surgery. We help people to understand the Muve program and are always available to field questions or concerns!
Why did you join the Muve team?
I joined Muve because I truly believe this is a progressive approach to health care. I wanted to be part of something that aligned with my personal values and at Muve it's clear that our team cares about making a difference in people’s lives. I feel like this is way healthcare should be and I am so happy to be a part of it.
What is the change that you want to see Muve make in the world of healthcare?
I want Muve to succeed in raising the bar for what healthcare can be and is supposed to be. I want to be able to continue seeing people have a healthcare experience that impacts them positively and improves their lives as a result. I hope that Muve is a catalyst for other specialities to allow this kind of care to be the new norm.

Progressive & Amazing (okay, that was two...)
Why did you choose to work in healthcare?
I chose to work in healthcare because I feel it is a calling. I love people, I love interacting with people and I love being a helping hand in their journey to wellness. I come from a family of healthcare providers and it is my passion!
What does Better Care By Design mean to you?
Better Care By Design, to me, means that our program is designed to run like a well-oiled machine. It's healthcare that puts the patient focus right at the center of the care we deliver, and it's healthcare delivery that has thought of everything to ensure that patient has the best outcome they can have. It's deliberately arming patients with the tools they need to be successful, taking the time to educate them, and being able to make it an enjoyable, positively memorable experience.
What are your favorite ways to Get Up And Muving?
Really, anything outdoors! Yoga, biking with my dog, hiking, you name it :)
What is your favorite thing to hear patients say?
That their life has changed by coming to Muve; that now they able to do things physically that they'd never thought they'd would be capable of. It is an amazing feeling to hear this!
Favorite memory working with a patient?
I called a patient a few months out from surgery to see how they were doing and they told me they couldn’t talk too long because they had to get back to the slopes. They were already back on a skiing trip after surgery! #Win

At Muve Lakeway ASC and Muve Lakeway Stay Suites, patients can look forward to being in the hands of an amazing team of people. Everyone brings their A-Game every day, and everyone delivers on treating patients with best practices and a level of compassion unlike anywhere I have seen. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure people are safe, comfortable, and well-educated about their experience. All in all, you can feel that every staff member is engaged and dedicated to what they do.
