What is your role at Muve Health?

As Director of Marketing, my job is tell Muve’s story in the most relatable and compelling way possible to patients, physicians and caregivers, industry partners, our community, and even our own teammates. My job is made much easier due to the fact that Muve is a truly amazing concept and our program has produced such impressive outcomes! Day-to-day, my team and I tackle fun tasks like managing branding and design, social media communications, editorial and video content creation, public relations, conference sponsorships, and campaign messaging.

Why did you join the Muve team?

I am one of the original Muvers - one of the first 10 employees here! One of the biggest reasons I wanted to join the team was the virutally limitless potential I saw for bringing our concept to life and scaling it across the Nation. I also was immediately smitten with our leadership team; every time I had the opportunity to speak with one of them and hear about their vision for improving the way we deliver healthcare in our Nation, I was that much more determined to help them!

What were you up to before joining Muve?

Before Muve, I spent 11 years managing various facets of digital marketing, brand marketing, and brand partnerships, both on the agency side and on the brand side. My focus was generally on CPG (consumer packaged goods) and Outdoor/Active brands, and the opportunity to dive into the healthcare industry and expand my breadth in my role at Muve has been really rewarding.

What does "Better Care By Design" mean to you?

Better Care By Design means that there is nothing accidental about our ability to provide an unparalleled care experience - both in terms of your outcome and in terms of how our team makes you feel as a human being. We’ve designed every single detail of our care experience around one thing: delivering the best possible experience for you, and no one else but you. No matter how big our team gets or how many centers we open, we work together in concert to make sure that the right things are always being done to deliver the right care, to the right people, at the right time, and with the right intentions.

How would you describe the members of the Muve team?

Dedicated to the core, and never, ever afraid of facing a challenge in the name of designing a better healthcare experience.

What's your favorite way to "Get Up And Muving?"

I’ve lived in Colorado for just about a decade and I’d describe myself as your quintessential weekend warrior :) In the winter, you’ll catch me up in the mountains whenever I have the opportunity to get my skis on, and in the summer I am a proud car-camping enthusiast, 14-er climber, B-League volleyball spiker, nearby brewery biker, and occassional triathlete. I also am a regular yogi year-round!

"Be the change you want to see in the world." What is the change that you want Muve to make in the world of healthcare/patient experience?

I want Muve to be the company that changes people’s minds about what they think they deserve when it comes to healthcare. Too many of us resign ourselves to feeling like anonymous numbers in a behemouth healthcare system riddled with red tape and frustration. Between long wait times, lack of access to your doctor, impersonal environments, and confusing (and expensive!) billing, just to name a few hassles, being proactive about your health can feel like punishment. At Muve, we truly put the patient back at the center of the experience. We’re proving that healthcare-as-a-headache doesn’t have to be the norm, and shouldn’t be. By being unwaveringly committed, meticulous in our designs, and unafraid of change, we’re proving that healthcare can be be remembered as a highly positive, empowering, and even life-affirming experience.

What are you most proud of when it comes to Muve?

It fills my heart up every time we hear a patient gush about how they’ve “never experienced healthcare like Muve before,”and that the way we treat our patients, from before surgery to well after, “is how all healthcare should be.” It’s what we believe ourselves and why we do what we do, so to hear these sentiments mirrored back to us in our patients’ own words is living proof that our vision is coming to life!

What does innovation mean to you?

Innovation means not resting on our laurels. Just because something works well, it doesn’t mean there’s not a better way, and the best way possible to do something today isn’t necessarily the best way there will be to do something tomorrow. A lot of legacy healthcare systems remain in place simply because “it’s the way we’ve always done things,” and at Muve, this sentence doesn’t exist in our lexicon. Our work strikes an amazing balance between being consistent in delivering great outcomes and being ever-changing (and always deliberate!) in how we get to those great outcomes. We raise the bar for one another every day and we’re always questioning the journey. “Why do we have to do it this way?” “Is there a better solution?” “How can we improve upon what we’ve already built in the name of better care delivery?”

...and lastly, if you could describe Muve in one word, what would it be?

Game-changing.
